i-design consultancy is a boutique design studio producing elegant and functional environments for our clients.
At i-design consultancy we resolve all design projects by first listening to our clients, interpreting the brief and reflecting back to the client with the solution. We work collaboratively with builders and architects to achieve exacting results.
In our designs we also consider the broader view of who is impacted by the design and how best to accommodate them, whilst achieving a harmonious and functional environment for all concerned.

Interior Design
Design, and especially interior design, must be simpatico with the client or occupants of the space, the responsibility of the designer is to respect this and work with them to create a space that is harmonious, appropriate and beautiful.
Our projects range in size, some can be as small as fabric consultation for refurbishing upholstery of a much loved piece of furniture, others, renovating an entire home. We view each job with the same care and attention to detail, whilst consulting with the client to clearly understand and document the brief.
We make it a point not to impose personal taste or push the latest trends, we instead listen to the client, evaluate where design changes would benefit the situation, and consider the style of the client. After a thorough understanding of the taste, function, intention and purpose is cemented a fresh design is proposed.
Our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sophistication results in design solutions that are executed to the highest standard, using experienced trades with whom we have extensive working relationships.
Defects Management
Defecting, where a builder or trades-person is required to finish all identified defects prior to hand-over, is a standard step in finalising a project.
Clients will hire us during or toward the end of their build if they find they are not happy with the look or finish provided by a trades-person or builder but do not feel experienced or knowledgeable enough to tackle the issues alone.
We can come on site, once given the approval by owner and builder, to go over the plans and inspect the areas identified.
Project Management
While project managing is usually the domain of the builder, clients are often too busy to keep their eye on the build as well as work or run their own business.
We act as the conduit between the builder and the client, identifying areas of concern or in need of modification prior to any defects occurring.
Liaising with builders, trades and engineers and keeping the clients up to date with the works while anticipating and resolving problems is all part of keeping the works progressing to final completion.
